The Challenge
JBS Grand Island's meat packing facility in Grand Island, NE generated high-BOD wastewater requiring anaerobic treatment. Uncontrolled biogas emissions from lagoons created compliance risk and odor complaints, demanding a robust containment and management system.
Our Approach
EFI designed and installed a complete floating cover and liner system at the JBS Grand Island facility. The installation included HDPE geomembrane liner for secondary containment and a floating cover system for gas collection and odor control. The system also incorporated o2 injection to optimize performance and ensure long-term reliability.
