Global Reach
From Mexico to Malaysia, EFI has deployed biogas capture, environmental containment, and carbon credit systems across 8+ countries and 4 continents.
Carbon Story
EFI established Environmental Fabrics de Mexico (EFM) specifically to support Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) biodigester projects under the Kyoto Protocol. With partnerships including Bunge Emissions Group and AgCert for carbon credit purchasing, EFI's international work has generated tens of thousands of Certified Emission Reductions annually. That same engineering rigor now powers every project we build.
International floating covers installed across 8+ countries
EFI operates across four major regions, delivering the same quality and engineering rigor that built our domestic reputation.
Mexico, Guatemala & Honduras

Track Record
Detailed project profiles demonstrating EFI's ability to deliver complex environmental systems in diverse international settings.
Puebla, Mexico
Biogas & Co-Generation
Complete biodigester system for a 15,000-pig swine farm, capturing methane to generate 240 KW of continuous power and achieving full energy self-sufficiency.
Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico
Biogas & Co-Generation
Dairy farm biodigester generating 120 KW of continuous power while solving chronic animal health problems by eliminating standing wastewater.
Tecun Uman, Guatemala
Waste-to-Energy & Carbon Credits
Landmark waste-to-energy project generating 2 MW of continuous power from palm oil processing waste, earning 37,370 certified carbon credits annually.
Beenleigh, Queensland, Australia
Covered Anaerobic Lagoon & BNR
Third project for Australian beef processor Teys, installing a massive covered anaerobic lagoon and biological nutrient removal system to reduce energy consumption.
St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands
Hurricane-Rated Floating Covers
Hurricane-rated floating covers for three 4-million-gallon bioreactors at Diageo’s Caribbean rum distillery, capturing biogas for energy recovery.
Carbon Markets
EFI was an early mover in methane destruction for carbon credit generation. Through our Mexican subsidiary EFM, we partnered with global carbon credit aggregators including AgCert, EcoSecurities, and Bunge Emissions Group to develop CDM-compliant biodigester projects across Latin America and Southeast Asia.
These projects demonstrate verified emissions reductions through rigorous monitoring and third-party verification -- the same scientific approach we bring to every domestic project today.
Discuss International ProjectsProof Points
Not generic promises -- verifiable facts from three decades of international project delivery.
Environmental Fabrics de Mexico (EFM)
EFI doesn't just export to Mexico -- we operate there. EFM is a fully established subsidiary with local teams, equipment, and regulatory expertise across 16+ states, from Baja California to Yucatan.
Kyoto Protocol Verified
EFI's Grupo Olmeca project in Guatemala alone generates 37,370+ Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) annually -- verified through the UN's Clean Development Mechanism under the Kyoto Protocol.
They Come Back
Teys Australia, one of the country's largest beef processors, hired EFI three times in three years -- covered anaerobic lagoon, BNR system, and facility expansion. International clients return because we deliver.
EFI brings 30+ years of experience and proven international capabilities to biogas, containment, and carbon credit projects worldwide.
