The Challenge

Problem

The existing baffles at the Town of Bowman's Wastewater Treatment Plant required replacement because of torn sections and missing flotation logs, which were allowing short circuiting and inhibiting the Town's ability to meet their discharge limits. The plant needed new baffles in three lagoons to increase retention time and improve the treatment process.

Our Approach

Solution

ThermaFab, Inc. designed and fabricated new baffles for three lagoons at 147' x 9', 94' x 9', and 93'7" x 9' in size. The material used was 8130 XR-5 from Seaman Corporation, selected for its durability. The baffles were fabricated at ThermaFab's facility in Gaston, SC and installed on schedule.
