The Challenge
Problem
The dairy added a covered lagoon digester to collect biogas from manure treatment. RCM Digesters was responsible for the overall digester design and construction, with EFI selected for cover fabrication, installation and the biogas system.
Our Approach
Solution
EFI fabricated and installed the 60 mil HDPE cover, including ballast weights and biogas collection beneath the cover. The original project record dates the work to September 2004. A later EPA AgSTAR evaluation also records the digester as operating since September 2004.
