The Challenge
Problem
El Capricho changed its manure-handling process from washing corrals with water to collecting manure for a mixing basin and anaerobic digester. The project combined that process change with lagoon containment and biogas collection.

Solution
Environmental Fabrics de Mexico supplied and installed the geosynthetics for lagoon lining and a floating cover. The original English case history names Strickland Engineering, specifies 1.5 mm (60 mil) HDPE and lists a project size of 1,600 m² without dividing that quantity between liner and cover. The project account describes biogas feeding two engines for electricity generation.
