The Challenge
Problem
Sierra Cattle Company collected manure from its heifer ranch in an earthen lagoon. The project sought to manage odors and capture biogas for electricity generation.
Our Approach
Solution
EFI fabricated and installed approximately 212,800 square feet of 60 mil HDPE cover, cover ballast and biogas collection. The 2014 case history reports approximately 500 kW of continuous electrical output and 1,000 metric tons of annual methane reduction at the time of reporting.
