The Challenge
Sun-Maid Growers's food processing facility in Fresno County, CA produced high-strength organic wastewater that generated methane-rich biogas in treatment lagoons. The operation needed an engineered containment and gas management solution to meet environmental standards and eliminate fugitive emissions.
Our Approach
EFI designed and installed a complete floating cover and liner system at the Sun-Maid Growers facility. The installation included HDPE geomembrane liner for secondary containment and a floating cover system for gas collection and odor control. The system was engineered for long-term durability and minimal maintenance requirements.
