The Challenge
Problem
The town was upgrading its municipal treatment plant to address lower BOD and phosphorus discharge limits. The design called for a covered anaerobic cell inside an existing aerated pond.
Our Approach
Solution
EFI installed approximately 21,000 square feet of 50 mm 3R-Foam permeable cover, a 30 mil HDPE slope skirt and a 245 by 10 foot floating diversion baffle made from Seaman 8130 XR-5. Forcier Aldrich & Associates was the project engineer. The case history records fabrication and installation of the cover and baffle as EFI's work, started and completed in fall 2007.
