Screw-in steel earth anchors for the anchor trench, weight pipes, and guy wires.
A double helix auger is a steel earth anchor: a shaft with two helical plates that screws into the ground, with an eye at the top to attach whatever needs to be held. The two plates engage the soil at two points along the shaft, so the anchor resists pull-out once it is turned in.
EFI crews use these augers on their own cover installations. They add holding strength in the anchor trench, anchor weight pipes to the shore, and secure guy wires on standpipes for emergency events. The same anchors are available direct from the EFI shop in Gaston, South Carolina.
